This meditative labyrinth is next to the Ghost Ranch retreat and education center located close to the village of Abiquiú in Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico, United States. The artistic result is that reality looks somewhat unreal and traces of humanity are felt by the evocation of ancient memories. The use of multiple media allows me the flexibility to capture and convey the mystery of light in the exploration of new artistic areas that help redefine the preconceived notions of what photographic art really is. The Mystery of Light Gerard Giliberti is a multimedia artist who uses photography and digital imagery to create abstract, surrealistic images that bring the viewer into a new visual world. Having pursued a classical New York Fine Arts education including photography, oil and watercolor painting, illustration, silk screening and various printmaking techniques, including archival photographic processing techniques, Giliberti laid the foundation for his unique ability to see simple images among complex textures. Giliberti's work has been exhibited in the acclaimed Guild Hall of East Hampton, the 19th Century walls of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, as well as Ashawagh Hall, situated in the historic East Hampton art conclave of The Springs, where such luminaries as Jackson Pollack and de Kooning began their careers. As an integral part of the East End art world in East Hampton New York, Giliberti's expressive work and altruistic involvement in the art community has affected many artists of the region.

Lightning/Cotton Field, limited edition photograph, archival, signed The adrenaline of seeing Mother Nature during some of her finest moments will be ingrained in me forever. It is a humbling experience - and I feel fortunate to have witnessed her power and grandeur over the past 12 years. My experiences are hard to describe in words During this last trip (July 2021) we traveled over 6400 miles in 10 days crossing through 10 different states - all in my quest/passion to photograph these storm systems. But this time the events of the last year made me more aware, opened my eyes wider, and had a different effect on me. The effects of Climate Change have become obvious. The current patterns are changing and they are accelerating faster than anyone realized or predicted. Just over the past decade, the characteristics of the Jet Stream and the Gulf Stream...

Just over the past decade, the characteristics of the Jet Stream and the Gulf Stream have changed. Pandemics, droughts, devastating heatwaves, wildfires, massive floods, and rising oceans are accelerating. As I sit here in my house in Lone Pine, CA in 103-degree heat I can hardly see the outlines of Lone Pine Peak and Mount Whitney...
