About the Item
In a session for Vogue, Jack photographed Elliott Gould, a Brooklyn-born actor who had reached Hollywood via Broadway. During the run of the musical I Can Get It for You Wholesale (1962), Gould met the young Barbra Streisand, whom he was to marry in 1963 and divorce in 1971. When Gould was photographed on December 6, 1967 by Jack Robinson for a Vogue feature, he had just appeared on Broadway in the short run of Jules Feiffer’s black comedy Little Murders.
