About the Item

Polka-Dot Wings, Silver Gelatin Print, Signed and numbered, limited edition Storytelling comes naturally for photographer Keith Carter whose East Texas roots have greatly influenced his penchant for creating extraordinary photographs from encounters with everyday objects, people, and animals. Moving beyond the literal through the use of selective focus, scale and askew perspective, Carter illuminates the intuitive meanings of images as would a poet. He doesn't seek reality but instead looks, as he says, "around the edges for those little askew moments - kind of like what makes up our lives - those slightly awkward, lovely moments."
