The Lady with the Dog portrays a female figure with dark hair and fair skin dressed in a beautiful white dress. An Afghan Hound lies on the lap of the model as the women drapes her hand over its back. The warm darker hues in the background compliment the warm tan hues of the dog. The dark background contrasting the white dress and the lightness of the model creates a romantic and dreamy style. Currently, his interest with the past translates into figures, scenarios, and most importantly, the recreation of his own stories. Francisco says, "I am more fascinated in altering history than depicting it accurately.”
