Edition 1/3 with 2 APs
Havana, a city of colors, contrasts, untold stories, oversaturation of spaces and realities, becomes the muse for the creation of a project that insists on being a document of the identity of those who live there. Through the colors on the walls, the visuality that identifies the city is distinguished, the superimposition of layers and layers of paint leads us to imagine stories of families, neighborhoods and generations that are like maps of life.
The Pantone color chart serves as inspiration and guide for this project that will continue in process until we have the complete color chart of the city, from its walls, to its cars and its landscapes. For the process, photographs of details are taken comparing the original color with the corresponding Pantone palette and the name of the street where they were taken is used, along with the color code for the title of each of the images.
The result is a wide collection of textures and colors of Havana, achieving abstract images that can be combined with each other as a gradation of colors or as individual images full of stories and details that represent the city.

The artist says of her work...
My work as an artist reflects on themes such as identity, physical transformation, cultural heritage, the relationship with the present, past and future, as well as the interpretation of dreams and subjectivity.
As part of my identity as a Cuban, I am interested in the elements and motifs that have been part of the visuality of my environment, such as the design of mosaics and floors, saturated colors, light, architecture, interior design, textiles and all the stories that each of them hold.
Being a graphic design graduate, I always somehow combine design with art, using concepts and tools as a vehicle to get to communicate my ideas in a more personal way. Most of the time the result is abstract images, where personal experiences and imagination close the cycle between the viewer and my work.
