About the Item
Richard Heeps series A Short History of Milan began as a special project for the 2018 Affordable Art Fair Milan. It was well received and the artwork has become popular with art buyers around the world. Richard continues to add to the collection as he frequently returns to Milan to make new work for the series. 'Karma', features a street book kiosk.
There is a reoccurring linear, structural theme throughout the series, capturing the Milanese use of materials in design such as glass, metal, wood and stone. "I have a strong connection to Northern Italy from printing my books in Verona, and I have visited Milan to exhibit many times. The work here is a series I have been sketching ideas for for a while, to capture the spirit of Milan."
This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print, dry-mounted to aluminium, presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame. It is signed and numbered on reverse and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
