About the Item

TORKIL GUDNASON is a New York based photographer who interprets classical subject matter in a colorful and abstract fashion. He has won numerous awards such as First Prize PDN/Nikon (Art Directors Club 1991), the Award of Excellence (Washington Post Magazine 1994) and the Award of Excellence (Men’ Journal 1995). His work has been exhibited in Paris, New York and Tokyo. Mr. Gudnason has published three books: Selected Photographs 2005-2010 (2010), Torkil Gudnason Studio (2010) and Body Vase (2012). His images have appeared in publications such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Vogue.
