Gerard Uferas' photographs have appeared in numerous publications, including "Liberation", "Time Magazine", "The New York Times", "Le Monde", and "Marie Claire" Italia. His career in photojournalism is paralleled by his work as a portraitist and fashion photographer. His artworks are part of important collections such as the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France or the National Gallery in London.
‘Elli Saab Haute Couture’ has been taken in 2007, behind the scenes of the spring/summer haute couture show of the world famous Label Elie Saab. The dreamy and flowy dresses the Label is known for are the centrepiece of this work, whilst the tumultuous backstage of a couture show buzzes in the background.
