Alessandro Puccinelli
Born in Italy, Alessandro Puccinelli’s close relationship to the ocean began with an early passion for surfing. Nowadays, he divides his time between Tuscany, Lisbon and the large waves in the southern coast of Portugal, where he frequently takes refugees in search of intimacy with the ocean. The move to Portugal was motivated by a desire to remain in close contact with the sea, which he considers to always be at the centre of his life as well as professional work. Strongly influenced by Romantic painters and in particular by the work of William Turner, he attempts to encapsulate in his photographic essay the force, the elegance, the simplicity and the infinite natural wonder that the ocean offers. The visual impact and the dramatic intensity of the photographs may make us feel insignificant and vulnerable, perhaps even feel that same sense of awe that is provoked by the power and mystery of the ocean when we look down from a cliff top. Alessandro’s work has received numerous awards such as the Sony World Photography Awards, the International Photography Awards, the Black and White Photography Awards, and the Hasselblad Masters among others

Edition of 5 plus 2 artist's proofs (#2/5) This photograph belongs to Jun Ahn's series 'Invisible Scape', which was shot between 2010 and 2014. South Korean Jun Ahn came to study in the US, where she graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in art history in 2006, followed by two years of postgraduate study of photography at the Pratt Institute. While at the Pratt, she had her first work displayed as part of group gallery exhibitions, and began work on the "Self-Portrait" project, which to date is her most prominent series of photographs which she regards as “a performance without an audience”, an end of youth of sorts, and a coming to terms with the future. In 2009 and 2010 she was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship at New York’s Parsons The New School for Design, and in 2011 received both the Dean's and a departmental scholarship. During this time her work received its first major exhibitions, including a joint exhibition with Kazuna Taguchi at PS 122 in New York. Furthermore, Jun Ahn has been selected as one of BJP’s 20 Photographers To Watch in 2013. - "Water Well" color photograph, autumn farm landscape painting on abstract wallBy Phillip BuehlerLocated in New York, NY18"x24", signed, editioned color photograph. A lush Fall farm landscape with greens fields, orange trees and red barn painting is contrasted by the placement on a highly distressed wall. Multiple layers of paint in various colors from teal blue, pink, beige, and orange are peeled and cracked creating an abstract pattern of color behind the landscape painting in this photograph. Time and age have created an image of beautiful decay with the cracked and peeling paint, which creates an amazing visual backdrop to the painting. The pairing of the two in this photograph compliment each other on a sensory level and bring out thoughts of nostalgia and longing. Phillip Buehler is a New York based photographer who documents the deterioration and remnants of neglected architecture constructed in the recent past. He is arguably the first to coin the neologism “modern ruins”. His photographs published in “Woody Guthrie’s Wardy Forty,” have won numerous awards, documenting the singer/songwriter/activist’s life at Greystone Park Psychiatric. He received his BA at Rutgers University and his MFA in photography at School of Visual Arts. Phillip Buehler has been featured in Art in America, The New York Times, Art News, The Art...Category
