“Huangshan C”, China
The famous Huangshan, (literal translation "Yellow Mountains"), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China. The materials comprise of ancient rocks uplifted from the sea 100 million years ago. The mountains are the inspiration and subject of tens of thousands of poetry, literature and ink brush paintings in Chinese art and literature, by many famous Chinese artists and poets, for example Li Bai. Peter has captured the timeless beauty of this mountain in this photo.
