His campaign for “Keep A Child Alive” raised over one million dollars for children with AIDS in just 3 days. Born in Switzerland of French, Italian, and Hungarian descent, Klinko spent his early years training to become a classical harp soloist. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. Later, Klinko signed an exclusive recording contract with EMI Classics, as well as a management contract with Columbia Artists Management. He received the Grand Prix de Disque for his recording of French harp music with members of the orchestra of the Paris Opera Bastille. Klinko performed in recitals and as a featured soloist with symphony orchestras around the world. He was also regularly featured in such publications as Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair, GQ, The New York Times, Madame Figaro, Stereo Review, and Ongaku no Tomo. After a hand injury, Klinko decided to become a fashion photographer and retired from his international concert and recording career. During that time, Klinko met Indrani, a digital artist, who later became a collaborator. Isabella Blow discovered Klinko's work while at the London Sunday Times and commissioned cover stories from the emerging photographer. Around the same time, Ingrid Sischy at Interview Magazine hired Klinko for various shoots. Iman and David Bowie followed, giving the up-and-coming photographer a chance to photograph them for their respective book (I am Iman) and album covers (Heathen). From there, he went on to create some of the most iconic album covers of his time, including Beyonce's Dangerously in Love, and Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi. Many of Klinko's famous celebrity photographs can be seen in his coffee table book ICONS (Perseus). Lincoln Center in New York presented an art exhibit showcasing many prints from the book and since, art galleries and museums in Europe (Opera Gallery, Monaco) and the USA (National Portrait Gallery, Washington) have featured his work. Klinko has appeared on E! News, Access Hollywood, Fashion Television, CNN's Showbiz Tonight, and Larry King Live, and has been the subject of the reality show Double Exposure.

  • Along The Verde
    Located in Miami, FL
Framed size: 65.75 in. x 54.5 in. x 2 in. Artist Journal Entry: "Things got a bit western just before this photo was taken. After riding up to an overlook above the East Verde River, just southwest of the town of Payson, AZ, we spotted this perch hanging above the cattle below. One of the cowboys looked over at me and said, "How about a photo of us with our horses up there?" Now I was thinking the same myself, but I wasn't about to ask these guys to risk themselves or their horses going over the edge in some freak accident. With excitement on my face, I replied, "Hell yeah, let's do it." After they got situated and ensured the horses were safe, I set myself up in the right position and started to line up the composition through my viewfinder. As I counted down from three, one of the horses lunged forward, completely disrupting the photo and the cowboys sitting on the edge of this cliff. They leaped up and immediately grabbed the reins and calmed the horses down. If that horse wanted to lunge any further, it would have taken itself and the cowboy up front off the edge nearly 100 feet down into the river. After repositioning and making sure everything was at peace, we captured this incredible and one-of-a-kind photos in central Arizona. You could say we all shared a few anxious laughs and smiles afterward." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

  • Mojave 1975
    Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. "Mojave 1975" Artist Journal Entry: "While working out logistics for my new artwork series, Mojave, this concept was one of the more challenging production sets to pull off. The final image you see here was only captured once on a roll of 120mm film. Weeks prior to this, I knew I wanted to have an old phone booth built outside of this classic diner while parking the car at the perfect angle to not block the cowboys staged in the backdrop. I didn’t have any idea what the location looked like in person nor had any time to scout before the day of filming. I had to work with what few images I could find online, various angles taken from Google Earth, and a notepad which I sketched on to give me a general idea. On set, we spent about an hour setting up the phone booth in the perfect spot, followed by adjusting the two vehicles at the correct angle. We used a 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 and a 1971 Ford F-250 Pickup. Once the vehicles were in place, I began posing the cowboys in the background and the two models last. Looking through my camera viewfinder felt like taking a step back into 1975. Everything fell perfectly into place. The styling of the outfits down to the props placed around the set. It was an incredible moment to have come to life with barely any reference to go off of. I hope this artwork takes you through a nostalgic daydream as it does for me." • The Four Aces Motel
    Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. "The Four Aces Motel" Artist Journal Entry: "I have always been fascinated by the lifestyles surrounding the 1970s-1990s era. I grew up in the 90s in a small town located in the Mojave Desert in California. The nostalgic imagery captured back in those days has such a unique feel to them. With that in mind and other inspiration drawn from classic movies, I wanted to capture a series of images that reflected a 1970s story based in the vast desert surrounding my hometown. In this particular image out of the series, I wanted to create a scenario of a woman who just showed up at this motel in the middle of the desert in her classic 1971 Ford Galaxy. A place where cowboys and other drifters come together. Something that tells a story of how cowboys in the 70s could ride their horses up and stay the night. Where vagabonds could escape and call this place home for a night or two as they pass through town. I wanted to create an image that takes your mind back to this time period and gives you an idea of what an ordinary day might have looked like back then. This location is an actual Hollywood film set called The Four Aces. I contacted the owner and after an extensive interview process, receiving an LA County film permit, and production insurance, I was finally able to create a series of images that have been on my mind for quite some time."
