About the Item

16 x 16 inches 40 x 40 cm Edition of 15 Archival Pigment Print on a Baryta Paper Mounted and Framed 32 x 32 inches 80 x 80 cm Edition of 7 Archival Pigment Print on a Baryta Paper Mounted and Framed 48 x 48 inches 120 x 120 cm Edition of 4 Archival Pigment Print on a Baryta Paper Mounted and Framed Reality doesn’t always present itself the way it really is. Patricia van de Camp and Marc Heesterbeek explore the relativity of reality and of beauty in particular. They investigate the aesthetic principles of symmetry in face and body by subtracting and adding. The technical element of the digitally manipulated and timeless images could not have been realized without their wide knowledge of photography and graphic design. Patricia van de Camp (1969) studied graphic art and photography at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and the Design School Kolding in Denmark. Marc Heesterbeek (1965) studied architecture and urban planning at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven and space architecture at the SICSA in Houston (USA). In 2018 they decided to become an art duo and combine their skills to make unique photographic works.
