Daring poses, red lips, crooked smiles along with sex appeal and a certain je-ne-sais-quoi characterize the photographic oeuvre of the late Roxanne Lowit. Uninterested in glossy façades, the star photographer captures the unseen without being voyeuristic. Catapulting us straight back into a decade of excess and ecstasy, her unfiltered lens into the 90s reveals more than ever before. Eternalising enfant terribles of the art circus, such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, or dictators of taste, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Lowit’s work embodies the Who's Who.
