Justin Pollmann "Hang It Up" 2022 Inkjet Transfer Collage, Monotype 28"x22" inches The inkjet transfer images are made by collaging transfers of inkjet prints to the paper’s surface using a burnishing transfer process. The image comes together through a series of multiple layers, some have up to 40 layers. This print is a monotype and does not have editions. About the artist Justin Pollmann is a Brooklyn, NY based artist. Pollmann earned his BFA in Printmaking from Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO in 1997. Artist statement I have always been drawn to relationships, person to person or between a person and things. The emotional and mental space that makes up these exchanges is a fascinating part of the human experience. My current focus is trying to illustrate these connections of relationships by tapping into the ephemeral feel of a conversation, a passing communication/connection between people, places, and time.
