Pierre Lamby was one of the great painters of the “Ecole de Paris” and of the second mid twenty century.
1932 Birth of a Liégeois father and an Antwerp mother in Liège.
1938 Stay of revalidation in a sanatorium of Leysin (VS Switzerland), following a serious accident occurred a few years earlier on the Belgian coast.
1940 Evacuation, first to St-Idesbald, then to Nantes, where his father finds work and leaves his family to the island of Yeu, where she spent 3 months before returning to Liège.
1941 Continues his studies at the Collège Saint Servais in Liège and begins learning the drawing in the studio of the painter Liègeois Alfred Martin (nude models).

Don Fink (1923-2010) was a well known and well listed Abstract Expressionist who studied at the Art Students League and the Academie Julian. He was born in Duluth , Minnesota, but later moved to Europe where he established himself as an artist. He was first based in Paris where he was a member of the "Jeune École de Paris" (with Karel Appel, Debre, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Antoni Tapies, Dumitresco, Messagier, Zanartu , etc.) and later moved to Barcelona.
A large retrospective of his earlier works was held in Madrid in 1998 with the following promotion:
