This lithographic poster was designed to promote an exhibition of Pablo Picasso's drawings and sculptures at the Maison de la Pensée Francaise in 1958. Here, the subject chosen was a bronze sculpture from 1931 entitled "Tête de Femme de Profil", a portrait of his companion at the time, Marie-Therese Walter. It was produced by Mourlot Master Printer, Henri Deschamps, and as always, Pablo Picasso supervised and approved the final proof.
La Maison de la Pensée Francaise, in English: the "House of French Thinking", was an organization created in 1945 and functioning until 2006 that was attached to the ministry of foreign affairs and was a privileged partner in the network that diffused French culture around the world.
