About the Item

Beautiful poster created by Alfredo Lalia. Alfredo Lalia won the 3rd prize in the international competition for this beautiful poster. ERP To rise and live better. The European Recovery Program (ERP), later known as the Marshall Plan, was a U.S.-sponsored program designed to rehabilitate European economies after World War II. German companies that received ERP funds had to repay the German government, which then loaned the money to other companies. This process continues today through the government bank KfW, which finances several programs - the "ERP programs" - from the special assets of the ERP. The ERP was a generous proposal to help Europeans get back on their feet by providing them with means for recovery. One of the conditions of this financial assistance was that the European governments themselves take the first steps toward economic collaboration. The Marshall Plan was strongly identified with American anti-communist foreign policy (support for the "free world" as a buffer to the spread of communism), and this aspect was welcomed by Marshall Plan skeptics in the United States. 1943 Original french propaganda poster from WWII - Working in Nazi Germany
Located in PARIS, FR
Since 1940, and throughout the war, many foreign volunteers chose to work in Germany, whether for ideological reasons or, more often, for wages or even the release of close prisoners. But from March 1942 onwards, the Nazi government launched a vast policy designed to bring about an influx of labor on its soil. Indeed, due to the ever-increasing need for men in the army, the mines, industry and agriculture lacked the manpower to support the war effort. As a prime target for this search, Vichy France...
