About the Item

This first edition exhibition poster by Ernest Pignon-Ernest was created to support the global fight against Apartheid. Published by Galerie Maeght-Lelong in collaboration with the United Nations Special Committee Against Apartheid, the poster was one of several designed by prominent international artists to raise awareness and funds for the anti-apartheid movement. Pignon-Ernest, known for his powerful and socially conscious art, utilized bold imagery and striking visual language to confront the injustices of Apartheid. The poster reflects his broader practice of placing politically charged works in public spaces to provoke thought and dialogue. This piece remains a historically significant document of the global art community's unified stand against Apartheid. Its association with Galerie Maeght-Lelong and the United Nations elevates its importance as both a work of art and a symbol of international solidarity. The poster is in mint condition, unframed, and retains its full vibrancy and visual impact. Shipping and Handling: We ship Worldwide. For Domestic and International shipments alike, we use heavy, thick-walled UPS and FedEx Approved shipping tubes to ship all items that are rollable.
