About the Item
Le Soleil de Minuite. 1898. Color lithograph. On Linen
A Student of Jules Cheret, he created posters between 1895 and 1905 in the workshop Chaix produced many posters for entertainment and leisure. In 1889, at 14 he was apprenticed in the workshop of Chéret, after 1881, the printing firm, known as Chaix, 20 rue Bergère, where he remained until 1910.
At the Chaix printing, firm he met Lucien Lefevre and colleagues Georges Meunier, where they produced posters for the theater, tourism, department stores, modern manufactured products, in abundance about 150 posters between 1895 and 1913.
