The London-based artist Suzanne Moxhay, born in 1976, opens up a dreamlike world of photographs that are out of time. After studying at Chelsea College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools, she thwarted the classic codes of photography in her singular assemblages. At the heart of her practice, the collection of images allows her to build up a rich iconographic library. Be it of her own drawings and photographs, or visuals from contemporary or older works. She draws from these elements patiently cut out, extracted from their original context and then reassembled. To do this, the artist is inspired by cinematographic matte painting...
