Abstracted print by Doris Ann Warner (American, 1925-2010). The subject of this piece is a close-up depiction of bones, likely vertebrae with attached ribs. There is heavy crosshatch shading creating a dark background, with abstract tan shapes layered over the composition.
Numbered, titled, and signed along the bottom edge: A/P "Night Moves" D. Warner
Presented in a new grey mat with foamcore backing.

Doris Ann Warner began as an Abstract Expressionist painter, but was primarily known for stone carving as well as abstract female figures, which emphasized body movement through rhythmic flow of mass and line. Warner studied at the University of California Santa Cruz as well as Pietrasanta, Italy, with Professor Pasquale Martini in 1988.
