About the Item
Auberge du Soleil is a deluxe, hand-enhanced serigraph on canvas, 22 x 44 inches and framed in a classic, gold-tone frame. Signed 'Kerry Hallam' lower left and numbered 180/250 lower right. From the edition of 500 (there were also 50 Roman and 200 Arabic on paper).

Kerry Hallam’s familiar and popular coastal views, vivid seascapes, and timeless, sun-drenched village scenes continue to enchant and inspire his collectors worldwide. His art is most noted for its power to evoke emotions, opulence of light, and distinctive color harmonies. He paints in a true impressionistic style with clear Fauvist influences, and his love of Mediterranean and nautical imagery forms the foundation of his work.
For Hallam, who spent his childhood in the dreary, “sooty,” environment of Northern England, anywhere with sunlight, fresh air, and a vista reaching to the heavens was heaven itself. In Auberge de Soleil, he drops us off at a rustic yet elegant inn, nestled between a vineyard and a sparkling inlet. The stately auberge welcomes its guests as the owners might have done when the beautiful mansion was an estate home – with a warm smile, a comfortable seat, and a glass of wine made from their own harvest. When your stay is over, you leave reluctantly, carrying cases of the best they have to offer, which you will enjoy at home as you recall your wonderful holiday.
