"Western Art Shoe Store", Western Horse Photography, Black and White “As I walked out of my hotel room early in the morning, I was greeted by the sound of hooves hitting the ground and the sight of rugged gauchos tending to their horses to prepare for the day. I had always been fascinated by the gauchos - the iconic cowboys of the South American grasslands. They are symbol of freedom and independence, a reminder of a simpler way of life. And here they were, right in front of me, living and breathing their passion. I grabbed my camera and approached the gauchos, asking if I could take some photos (even though I cannot speak Spanish). They nodded and went about their business, ignoring my presence. I was grateful for their indifference, as it allowed me to capture them in their natural state - focused, determined, and completely immersed in their work. I always love to see different types of art. As I snapped pictures, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and respect for these men and women. They were tough and resilient, yet gentle and caring with their horses. They have a deep connection to the land and the animals that roamed it, and it showed in everything they did. The soft morning light, the dusty ground, the intricate details of the saddles and reins - the craftsmen working their trade- everything came together to create a moment in time that was both timeless and fleeting. “ ABOUT THIS PIECE: These beautiful limited edition prints are on museum grade archival paper printed by the top fine-art print house in the country.
