David Lance Goines (1945-) is an American graphic artist, calligrapher, typographer, printing entrepreneur, and author. His work is held by many museums and institutions, including: The Smithsonian Institution's American Art Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, The Louvre in Paris and The Library of Congress.
After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, Goines started his career as a printer’s apprentice. He soon founded the Saint Hieronymous Press in Berkeley, where he still works.
