Cannon Street return is an original limited edition Reduction linocut by Jennifer Jokhoo a Surrey Hills based Printmaker/Painter. This London cityscape depicts iconic buildings: Cheese grater, the Gherkin and Walkie talkie with the thames in the foreground.
In the Reduction linocutting method, a multi coloured print is pulled from a single block. The lino is inked with the lightest colour and the first printing is made. The areas to remain that colour are then cut away. This is the process for each layer, therefore it cannot be rewound or repeated. As a result Jennifer’s editions are kept very small.
