Detailed lithograph of a Paris street scene by Louis Valentin Emile de La Tramblais (French, 1821-1892). This piece is from a book of similar illustrations entitled "Album, souvenirs de Paris" published by Becquet Frères, edited by Dazario. On a busy street in Paris, people go about their daily lives, dressed in fine Victorian clothing. There are several horses and carriages. Buildings are lit from the inside, indicating that the scene takes places around sunset.
Signed in plate, lower left.

Louis Valentin Emile de La Tramblais (French, 1821-1892) was a painter, draftsman and engraver. He served in the Franco-Prussian War. De La Tramblais was best known for his political cartoons and a series of lithographs depicting the Siege of Paris.
