  • Flamingo Pops
    By Mieke Douglas
    Located in London, GB
'Flamingo Pops' is part of an ongoing series, inspired by 17th Century Dutch Master Painters. Mieke experiments with modern techniques to create 21st Century still life in digital images. The sleeping Flamingos look like colourful little sweets or ice creams. Other sizes are available on request. Flamingo Pops was selected as part of the 2021 Campari campaign #artwithoutwalls which featured selected artworks across London. This limited edition print is available in size A0 as well as smaller size of A2 and has 200 in the edition run. Framing image is only for visualisation purposes. Print will come unframed with signed certificate of authenticity. ABOUT MIEKE DOUGLAS Mieke Douglas is an award winning Canadian/Dutch Fine Art Photographer who currently lives and works in London. Mieke is a self-taught photographer whose work questions relationships between people and nature by challenging issues of distance and intimacy. Mieke draws influence from Abstract Impressionists, the abandonment of the traditional and combines this with the the17th century Dutch Master Painters’ use of light, composition and colour to direct the eye of the viewer. Her images offer a personal interpretation of intrinsic form, rather than narrative content or direct pictorial representation of a subject. Mieke’s work strips down the unnecessary and focuses on simple lines and moments of stillness. Mieke’s images are held in private collections and have been exhibited internationally in Paris, Rome, Rotterdam, Barcelona and London, including at the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2019. She has won numerous awards, most recently: a Julia...
