Original French travel poster: EPINAL. Chemin de Fer de l’Est. Excellent condition. No repairs, no damage, linen backed, A condition. Bright and colorful full lithograph. Linen-backed vintage travel poster by the French railway Chemin de Fer de l'Est. "Le Centre des Vosges Epinal. Son Chateau (the chateau); Son Eglise (his church); Ses Forets (its forrest) , Ses Images and its scenery). The old town center features the Place des Vosges, the Chapitre district, Saint-Maurice's Basilica, medieval castle remains, and the Roman House (11th and 13th centuries). It is also known for its parks and gardens (ITS CASTLE, ITS CHURCH, ITS FORESTS, ITS IMAGES). It could easily be a poster for Puss in Boots. This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is professionally acid-free conservation mounted, linen-backed, and in excellent condition.

When you research all the major museums that have a copy of this poster, it is usually in bad shape with missing paper. This original c. 1917 has no missing paper and is bright and vibrant. It should be in the finest condition original available. Explore The United States Army Air Service was the aerial warfare service component of the United States Army between 1918 and 1926 1. It was established as an independent but temporary branch of the U.S. War Department during World War I by two executive orders of President Woodrow Wilson: on May 24, 1918, replacing the Aviation Section, Signal Corps as the nation’s Air Force, and March 19, 1919, establishing a military Director of Air Service to control all aviation activities. Its life was extended for another year in July 1919, during which time Congress passed the legislation necessary to make it a permanent establishment. The National Defense Act of 1920 assigned the Air Service the status of “combatant arm of the line” of the United States Army with a major general in command. Charles Livingston Bull (1874-1932) was an American illustrator known for his illustrations of wildlife. Bull studied taxidermy in Rochester, New York, and his first job at the age of 16 was preparing animals for mounting at the Ward’s Museum in Rochester, New York.
