Rene Genis (French 1922-2004) Le Malade : The Sick. A sick patent in bed. Pencil on paper laid down on matt board. Signed in pencil lower right. Image size 8 1/4” x 10 1/2”, matt board size 15 1/2” x 17 1/2”.
Genis is best known for his still-lifes and landscapes. He was a prominent member of the Parisan Neo-Figurative School along with artists Guy Bardone, Andre Brasiller, Bernard Cathelin, and Paul Guiramand.
