Looking Over is a mounted, original figure drawing by Mary Knowland. Willow stick and ink wash is a wonderful medium for swift, expressive mark making, capturing something of the model in the short acquaintance with her form in that pose.
Mary Knowland, artist, paints landscapes and life drawings. Mary Knowland is represented by Wychwood Art online and in our art gallery in Stow on the Wold. Mary Knowland originally trained as a potter but after many years working in ceramics she took a course in textiles which took her back to her fine art roots – her father had been a painter .
