Medium: lithograph (after the original lithograph poster executed for the Annual Ball of the School of Decorative Arts, of Paris). During the late 1940's and throughout the 1950's, Henri Matisse created a series of posters at the atelier of Mourlot Freres. The lithograph offered here was printed by Mourlot in 1959, reproducing the Matisse poster in a smaller size. Image size: 9 3/4 x 8 inches. Sheet size: 12 x 9 inches (300 x 230 mm). Signed in the plate (not by hand).
Condition: some of the color has been unevenly applied, apparently a printing defect.
