Born in Paris in 1986, lives and works in Paris. Jaëraymie is a self-taught artist who started practicing urban art in 2016. Street Artist adept of collage and stencil, he intervenes in the public space to surprise passers-by, make them react to a news, transmit an emotion to them or simply make them smile. He is the author of the aphorism "Le Romantisme c’est un truc de bonhomme " ( ± Romantism is a guy thing ) by which he denounces machismo as a demonstration of virility, inviting men to be gentlemen with women. This sentence is accompanied by images of famous films where he replaces the guns with red roses. It is with this stencil and the series of collage of the "club of the romantics" that he is better known via social networks. Active in the networks of Paris Street Art, Jaëraymie does not hesitate to collaborate with other artists to develop projects "out of series". This is the case of the pastiches of electoral posters in collaboration with Combo in Paris for which he presented the posters of "Marion Cotillon", "Jean Gentilhomme" and "Juste Le Blanc" to raise public awareness of the issue of voting during the presidential campaign 2017. This campaign of misappropriation of posters was relayed by media such as BFM TV, Figaro culture, 20minutes, Huffington Post, France 3 Grand Soir ... He also participated in a group exhibition at the Montmartre museum for the children of the home of the Sacré-Coeur. As part of this event, he made a large mural in the home of the children of the Sacré-Coeur and participated in the auction whose profits were donated to the benefit of the home. His work is inspired by his film culture and his passion for comics. Oscillating between lightness and gravity in the subjects he approaches, he is never aggressive or peremptory. His works bring, for many of them, a singular, skewed, ironic and paradoxical look at our society.
