Mint condition
The "Icons" show featured a new grouping of works called mono-engravings, which focus on symbols, ornaments, images, and portraits of people Shepard Fairey considered icons. The mono-engravings are engraved from a painted and drawn background of ink wash and charcoal. Each image is a unique one of one. Shepard translated four of these mono-engravings into this set of letterpress prints. Letterpress prints have a more elegant, velvety finish because a relief plate inked with a roller is pressed into the paper leaving a subtle impression and lush finish.
