Coyer’s work has been exhibited all over the country, most notably at the Harm Bouckaert Gallery in New York, the Dalsheimer Gallery of Baltimore, and the Louis Newman Galleries of Beverly Hills. Max passed away in 1988 at the age of 34 at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. His work has been presented to queen Elizabeth of England and his held in private collections and museums, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York.
