Lithograph by Jacques Joachim Jean Rigal 1926-1997 French Paysage d'Ile de France Tree Numbered 75/100 and signed by the artist Image measurements are given below The paper measures 75cms 29.5ins high 55cms 21.65ins wide Jacques Joachim Jean Rigal 1926-1997 Son of the engraveurs Ernest Rigal He started at the age of 4 years old and et the age of 8 years old he was encoraged by other artists Jacques Schiffrin, Andre Malraux and Jean Cassou By the age of 10 he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne In 1942 he installed himself at Fontainbleau In 1954 he recieved the Prize National de la Graveur He produced items on Paris with the trees, flowers, fruits, insectes and the sea In 1960 he became a member of Societe des Peintes Graveurs Francais and 1963 he recieved the Prize of the Ile de France Graveurs In 1970 he produced an album the markets of London and other Capitals He is well known in Canada and all over the world
