There is no space for negativity in this series because the compositional elements are contrasting with one another. The artist is experimenting with the balance between these various blocks that have been woven together to create a vertical composition, and the shapes are strong and massive.
Delphine Brabant is guided by the concept of construction; she creates her sculptures in an architectural way by assembling and imbricating numerous forms with simple lines.
In her abstract sculptures, Delphine Brabant, who is fascinated by the idea of construction, assembles and fits together a variety of straightforward forms like an architect. The artist finds inspiration in the verticality, horizontality, and interaction between solid and space. She favours simple geometric shapes and bases her art on the idea of balance.
