"The Sense of Wonder" Mixed Media Wall Sculpture 39" x 50" in by Dmitry Kawarga Medium: aluminum, oil, 3D printing, polymer resin Artist Dmitry Kawarga - Biomorphic radical. He has exhibited in Russia and abroad since 1998 and is one of the few Russian artists working with advanced technologies. Kawarga began his career as a painter and got his original art form among Moscow non-conformists. The flat surfaces gained more and more pronounced fracture and became ever more monumental; forms started to emerge in the manner of reliefs, and finally turned into sculptures. Currently, he works with a wide range of polymers that serve as the material of large-scale landscape sculptures and miniature detailed compositions. A big cycle of his works is called Science-Art because, in addition to the monumental sculptures and elaborate reliefs, he also produces kinetic and interactive installations, complete with biofeedback devices and robots. His work synthesizes science, art, and technology, and he often involves engineers and programmers in the creative process. His style has been variously described as "biomorphism" or "biogenic art", while his insistence on the end of anthropocentrism has caused others to call him a practitioner of "post-human" art.

    This is a wall sculpture of a protruding abstract organic appendage form. They are in the form of Surrealist fantastic flora and fauna. It is from her 1990-1995 series called tondos & squares. This is a mixed media sculpture composed of plastic/resin (it looks like blackened steel), rubber and metal wire. Hand signed verso. This sale is for one. I have 5 of them available, they make a great wall installation grouping. Carol K. Brown is an American woman artist born in Memphis, Tennessee and lives and works in New York and Miami Beach, Florida. Brown works with sculpture, painting, photography, video, digital and installation art. She has received the State of Florida Fine Arts Fellowship (1983), Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art Fellowship (1986), and two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship (1984 and 1986). Her work is owned by the Perez Art Museum Miami, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, and the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University.
