Hanna Heino
FUGA PAPILIO II

2022

About the Item

Hanna Heino is a contemporary artist from Finland known for her delicate form language that honours the beauty and subtle nuances of nature and its textures, shapes and depth. Her pieces take us on a voyage to a tranquil universe. Clay is the medium in all her work, but the ancient working techniques between pieces vary significantly. Her processes are an accumulation of emotions, experiences and pure intuition lighting up a sense of naturalness and effortless approachability. Flowing vibrant forms and alteration in textures is the essence of her work; by playing around with these elements, she brings subtle shimmers of aliveness and variation to her art. After working fifteen years within the fields of interior design and residential construction, she established her own artistic studio in 2019 and has been thenceforth devoted to her art. In her childhood, she first started exploring with ceramics and classical painting and ever since creativity has been a core element in her life. Growing up in the countryside, surrounded by the silence of snowy hills and abundantly blooming fields, has led to her artistic expression to embrace the appreciation for nature.
