About the Item
Organic, clean, minimal, white and yellow gold sculptural wall relief that is ceramic on painted wood panel. 24 x 30 x 2 inches. A beautiful and tactile work of art from Pop Art pioneer Jane B. Grimm, whose artistic career began in the 1960’s, when her free-form sculptural jewelry exploded onto the fashion scene in NYC. Her designs spoke to a new generation well into the 1970's, when they were regularly featured in, and graced the covers of, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue magazines. In the 1980's, Grimm shifted her focus to clay, while she earned her MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, from which she graduated with high distinction. Grimm's contemporary ceramic sculptures, created entirely by hand with a low-fire method, have premiered in galleries around the world and are included in prestigious private and museum collections.
A stunning work that cam take full light, unlike many other works of art. Hangs from included traditional hardware - wire and/or D-rings.

- 'Untitled Assemblage #S3-23', by John Wolfe, Mixed Media Abstract SculptureLocated in Oklahoma City, OKJohn Wolfe's Mixed Media Abstract Sculpture, "Untitled Assemblage #S 3-23" brings together wood, steel, ceramic elements, and acrylic paint. The warm colors of the wood and painted ceramic elements soften the feel of the rectilinear arrangement. The shallow depth of the work gives the sculpture a kind of "drawing" quality while the shadows it casts lend a more expansive feel. The heavy, dark wood base anchors all aspects of the work in place. This work is the perfect tabletop piece. It's large enough to command attention, but also subtle in its open framework arrangement. John Wolfe was born in Vernon...Category
