Linda Stein, MascuFem 681 - Feminist Contemporary Black/Silver Leather Metal Torso Sculpture Starting in 2007, the artist Linda Stein began to explore gender multiplicities and diversities in her sculptural series The Fluidity of Gender. The contrapposto torsos from this series have a skin of black leather, metal and mixed media. This artwork was part of Linda Stein's exhibition also titled "The Fluidity of Gender", which has traveled to 30 institutions in the US, including the Holter Museum of Art and Noyes Museum of Art. Stein's works are in more than 25 museum permanent collections, including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Georgia Museum of Art, and Ringling Museum of Art in the US; Victoria Gallery & Museum and Manchester Art Gallery in the UK; Espoo Museum of Modern Art in Finland; and Konstmuseet i Skövde in Sweden.
