This work from Linda Stein's Displacement From Home series draws from the tradition of wunderkammer/cabinets of curiosities to highlight the global displacement and traumatic memory of migrants and refugees around the world.
The sculpture is made of wood, metal, fabric, shell and mixed media. Please note: the lazy Susan is not part of the artwork and is used for display purposes only.
Works from this series are in the Permanent Collections of Manchester Art Gallery, UK; Konstmuseet i Skövde, Sweden; and Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Finland.
