About the Item
In 2002, the artist Linda Stein began a series called Knights of Protection; these sculptures function both as defenders in battle and symbols of pacifism. Starting in 2020, Stein reconsidered her Knights of Protection, creating a body of work called Knights Revisited. Lionhearted 1235 is a sculpture from Knights Revisited. It is made of wood, metal, plastic and mixed media.
Stein's works are in more than 25 museum permanent collections, including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Georgia Museum of Art, and Ringling Museum of Art in the US; Victoria Gallery & Museum and Manchester Art Gallery in the UK; Espoo Museum of Modern Art in Finland; and Konstmuseet i Skövde in Sweden.
