She creates sculptures and monumental compositions from stoneware clay and high-temperature glazes, with traditional and ancient Greek references. Her works adorn museums and private collections all around Greece and abroad.
The piece ¨ White cube with slits and symbols ¨ is a geometric sculptor, which Vlandi renders minimalistic, balanced between modernism and tradition.
Around the perimeter of this cubical shape, an opening that runs through the surfaces allows light to penetrate through small linear vanishing points, thus breaking the absoluteness of the form, while at the same time traces and symbols engraved on the glazed surface enrich the experience of the observer.
This one-off piece, is 100% handmade and has been signed and dated underside.
