MONTSERRAT SASTRE PLANELLA
was born in Barcelona on November 1948.
Graduated from the Barcelona Provincial Council's School of Work and the Generalitat de Catalunya's School of Arts and Crafts, she completed her artistic training in 1968.
From 1968-71, he worked in the F. Ferrando ceramics workshop in Vallvidrera where he acquired the knowledge of an artistic workshop until he established his ceramic and sculpture studio in Sant Just Desvern in 1971, the date on which he made his first Individual exhibition at the Radio Barcelona Art Studio, an exhibition that has been followed by numerous individual and collective exhibitions, combining his artistic work with teaching since 1969, creating the municipal school of ceramics in Esplugues de Llobregat in 1975, where he has been until her retirement as director and teacher in low and high temperature ceramics such as stoneware and porcelain together with sculptural modeling.
