"Allegro con Brio" is a tactile and colorful abstract mixed media original handwoven wall sculpture, in teal, constructed of hand-knit acrylic, nylon and wool. The sculpture is 21x51x6 (HxWxD) inches. The handmade woven and knitted sculpture undulates and attaches easily to the wall with simple hooks. The artist’s signature is on the back. Sylvia Vander Sluis is a Boston-based, mixed–media artist. She synthesizes many different materials and techniques in collages of rich color and texture. Her work has been shown throughout the Northeast. Vander Sluis is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
