About the Item
Delightful and fabulous to live with - great to put on tables, shelves, mantles, desks and even better if they can be near natural light coming in. Amazing to turn and see the different views as the triangles widen and grow or slim out. They had a futuristic edge but also speak of the 1970's as this medium was explored by the Light and Space group in California.
Vasa, is celebrated for his vibrant, geometric acrylic sculptures that play with light, color, and perception. His works, often composed of meticulously polished, layered acrylic forms, create the illusion of transparency and shifting hues as viewers move around them. Drawing from his background in both painting and sculpture, Vasa harnesses the optical properties of acrylic to craft pieces that seem to glow from within. His sculptures are not only visual experiences but also spatial ones, inviting contemplation of the relationship between color, light, and form.

This tower presents well. It has surface scratches that range from minor to more present with one scratch coming up from the bottom edge about 2 to 3 inches in length. Some scuffs near the top edge visible to the eye. These obvious only with close inspection.

- Condition:We noted above that there are light surface wear scratches normal to any Vasa but one scratch in particular that can be noted when looked at closely. Not obvious when just looking at the piece in-situ. Presents well over-all.

Vasa Velizar Mihich
Academically trained as a painter, Vasa Mihich originally taught theories of color as a senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles. The octogenarian artist has been creating his striking transparent acrylic forms since the late 1960’s in his Los Angeles studio and continues to this day to be a forward-thinking innovator.
