The series “Enlightening Books” by the Italian artist Chiara Dynys is one of her most representative artworks. Presented for the first time at La Galleria Nazionale in Rome, the artwork has distinguished Chiara Dynys' poetics for the last ten years, and it represents a luminous bookcase that metaphorically contains within it archived knowledge. The artist has reconsidered the role of certain readings that not only for her, but for the whole of humanity have had a fundamental meaning. The books are made of ground glass sandblasted, hand-painted with various colors and shades of white. Staging like a metaphor of archived knowledge, between memory and oblivion, some books are illuminated inside and origin ideal paths of meaning.
