About the Item
Seahorse Rex Gold is a 1-meter high bronze sculpture by French contemporary artist Chésade. This one-off sculpture is representative of the sculptor's interest in the marine world. 103 cm × 55 cm × 22 cm.
The graceful and suspended “Seahorse” is decorated with a gold patina to make it look like a piece of jewelry. It is sold with a 17 x 35 cm metal stand.
Chésade regards the sea as "a conservatory of exoticism for the 21st century imaginary." The surfaces of her sculptures represent an almost inexhaustible terrain of exploration, just as sea-beds which are printed with all the objects and sediments which the tides have left there. The colors of her patinas that she borrows from the shades of the rocks, pearls and kelps, further accentuate this organic parallel.
