Frederick Hart
"Woman w/ Outstretched Arm", Frederick Hart, Bronze Figurative Sculpture, 20x7x4

2002

About the Item

"Woman with Outstretched Arm" by Frederick Hart is a figurative female figure bronze sculpture with the edition number 69/175. The story of “Woman with Outstretched Arm” began over ten years ago. When Frederick Hart was sculpting “Echo of Silence” he wanted the interior embedded piece to have a soft whispery quality–a visual silence. As he looked at the beautifully detailed clay he knew that some of the exquisite modeling and drapery would be lost in the ephemeral quality he sought for the clear acrylic work. There are only a few sculptural works that can take advantage of the unique opportunities of both clear acrylic resin and bronze. This figure is a great example and Hart was determined to have it cast in bronze.
