About the Item

Black Rhino Bust in Bronze Blue Verdigris patina, Limited Edition of 12, bronze sculpture on Sandstone base. The first time I was sculpting in the field, all I saw oft this magnificent Black Rhino was its head sticking out from behind the bush. The rhino's horn evolved as a defensive weapon. And yet it is no defense against man's greed. Limited edition of 12 (3 remaining), approx. sculpture weight 12 - 13kg including stone base, excluding wooden crate & packaging. Delivery time - Please note: sculpture is cast in my foundry upon receipt of order and will be ready for international shipping from South Africa approx 4 to 6 weeks after receipt of order. Using the lost wax method each of my sculpture is sculpted, cast and individually finished and patinated by myself. My passion for Africa, its people and wildlife are an enduring hallmark of my life. Much of my art is inspired by Africa's magnificent wildlife and people. Taking inspiration from the bush and my previous experience as a safari guide my creations strive to capture the essence and beauty of the animals I sculpt. My expertise ranges from figurative, wildlife, bird, abstract to African works and more recently bespoke African themed bronze furniture & lighting which is cast in bronze. Each piece is exclusively sculpted, chased and finished by the sculptor himself. Available in any size – from small coffee table pieces to monumental statues – my bronze art are limited, signed and numbered editions. A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be enclosed with your art work.
